Helen Richardson

LEHIGH — Helen Richardson, of Lehigh, will celebrate her 80th birthday on Oct. 2.

Helen Jean Miklo was born on Oct. 2, 1939. She grew up in rural Iowa and graduated from St. Matthew’s High School in Clare in 1957. She married Fred Schmieder and together they had five children. Her husband died in 1977.

Later, while working as a New York Life agent, Helen married Darrell “Swede” Richardson, and they live in Lehigh.
