CLARE — James and Susan English, of Clare, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

Their family includes Jim Jr. and Mary Beth English, of Ankeny; Jeanna English, of West Des Moines; Mark and Michelle English, of West Des Moines; and Marita and Don Schmidt, of Fort Dodge. They have seven grandchildren.

She is retired from Logistics at Trinity Regional Medical Center. He continues to farm.

They were married at Saint Matthews in Clare on September 20, 1969.
