Phillip “Sparky” Sparks

Phillip “Sparky” Sparks, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 80th birthday on Saturday.

His family includes wife Linda Sparks, Mike Lee, Will Lee, Jeff Sparks, Jody Rasmussen and Nathan Sparks. He has nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was born Aug. 31, 1939, in Indianola. He graduated from Colo High School in Colo. He worked as a police officer, insurance agent, and in retail management. For the last 34 years, he has run his auction house. He has finally decided to put the gavel down this fall.
