Vern and Mary Plagge, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday.

Their family includes Mike and Sarah Plagge, of Fort Dodge; Craig Plagge, of Fort Dodge; and Tim and Kris Plagge, of Cedar Falls. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary Kots and Vern Plagge were married Aug. 1, 1959, at Trinity Church in Orange City. He worked for Lowy Distributing in Ankeny and she worked for Sears and Prince of Peace Preschool. They are both retired.
