Bob Shanks

Bob Shanks, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 90th birthday with family and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on May 26 at the Bob Heun Shelter House at John F. Kennedy Memorial Park.

His family includes his wife, Mary; and sons Dave, Bobby, Joe, Jeff and Steve, who are all married. He has 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He is an Army veteran and retired in 1991 after 36 years of work with the Hormel Foods Corp.

He was born on May 24, 1929, in Harrisonville, Missouri.
