GOWRIE — Donald and Phyllis Rasmussen, of Gowrie, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

Their family includes Mark and Joan Rasmussen, of Minnesota; Dan and Cheryl Rasmussen, of Lanyon; Joel Rasmussen, of Ames; Susan and Eric Lakin, of Fort Dodge; Melissa and Wes Baker, of Missouri; and Thomas and Stacey Rasmussen, of Gowrie. They have 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Phyllis Brundage and Donald Rasmussen were married on Jan. 9, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Boxholm. They have lived around the Gowrie area all of their married life, farming his family’s farm for 55 years until moving into town.
