Richard (Sam) Rathbun

OTHO — Richard (Sam) Rathbun, of Otho will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Otho Community Center.

His family includes Kim Bloomquist and Deb and Gary Fox, all of Otho, and his companion, Kay Read. He has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife Marilyn (Mickey) and son Rod are deceased.

He was born Dec. 29, 1938, and raised in Fonda. He worked various jobs, which included owning the Otho Pub.
