Ruby Phillips

GOWRIE — Ruby Phillips, of Gowrie, will celebrate her 85th birthday on Tuesday.

Her family includes Leah (Pearl) Dye, Linda (Sue) Wilson, Cindy Dunne, Jim Phillips and Mary (Kathy) Phillips. She has nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Richard (Dick) is deceased.

Phillips worked in Fort Dodge for many years as a dental assistant, and was also the owner of Ruby’s Clothing Store in Gowrie for several years.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1933.
