Martha Lundgren

Martha Lundgren, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Burnside, will celebrate her 90th birthday on June 5.

Her family includes Mark and Julie Lundgren, of Burnside; Marshall and Shirley Lundgren, of Bend, Oregon; Martin Lundgren, of Esmont, Virginia; Mary Ellen and Gary Thursby, of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and Todd and Kay Lundgren, of Lehigh. She has nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband Marvin and two grandchildren are deceased.

She was born June 5, 1928, at Burnside, and graduated from Burnside High School. She is a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Burnside, serving as a member of WELCA and a Sunday School teacher, and still helps with World Relief quilts. She and her husband were married 59 years before he died.
