Garret Weiland

Garret Weiland, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate his 90th birthday on March 8.

His family includes his wife, Leola Weiland, Scott and Karen Weiland, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Cyndie and Tony Salvatore, of Fort Dodge. He has two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Weiland was born in rural Butler County, Iowa, on March 8, 1928. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is retired from the Iowa State Patrol, where he served from 1957 to 1986 in the Fort Dodge area.
