Joel and Jody Shanks

Joel and Jody Shanks, of Fort Dodge, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today.

Their family includes Jason Shanks, of Fort Dodge; Nathan and Sarah Platt, of Newhall; and Chad and Kristan Giddings, of Fort Dodge. They have three grandchildren.

Jody Lindner and Joel Shanks were married Jan. 14, 1978, at Holy Rosary Church.
