LOHRVILLE — Bette Knapp, of Lohrville, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Tuesday.

Her family includes Bob and Deb Knapp, of Urbandale; Tom and Sue Knapp, of Des Moines; Susan Clapper, of Manson; and Kathryn and Ron O’Connor, of Waukee. She has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband Eldred is deceased.

Bette Van Ginkle was born July 11, 1927 in Des Moines. After graduating from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing, she married Eldred Knapp and they made their home in Lohrville. She worked as a registered nurse until retirement. He passed away in 2003.
