Iona Gathman, of Fort Dodge, will celebrate her 90th birthday today with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. Ninth St.

Her family includes Norma Erickson, Fort Dodge; and Loretta and Jim Rowan, of Broomfield, Colorado. She has three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Dale, passed away in 1981.

Iona Walls was born March 26, 1927, in Iroquois, South Dakota, where she was raised and educated. She worked at K-Mart, Target and other Fort Dodge stores.
