Aglow International to host the Rev. Wally and Lana Shea

Wally and Lana Shea, from Ankeny, at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18 at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. They will share a message titled, “Bringing in the Reality of God.” They will talk about how the reality of God can be fulfilled in our lives. Lehigh church to serve pulled pork sandwiches on Aug. 12

LEHIGH — The Lehigh United Methodist Church will serve pulled pork sandwiches with chips, a dessert and drinks, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 12. Carryouts are available. It is open to the public. The cost is a freewill donation.

First Congregational United Church of Christ will host vacation Bible school

First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1611 Williams Drive, will host a free vacation Bible school Monday through Thursday. Sessions will run from 6 to 8 p.m. each night. This year’s theme is “God’s Rolling River Rampage.” Each night will feature songs, a Bible story, games, crafts, and a science experiment. The Thursday night session will include a picnic for all participants and their families. The church will be gathering items for the Lord’s Cupboard and collecting money for Simply Smiles. Rolling Hills church to hold Vacation Bible School

Getting ready for the big game will be the theme of the upcoming Vacation Bible School at Rolling Hills Community Church in Fort Dodge. As kids get ready for the big game, they will learn that God has already equipped them with everything they need, according to organizers of the Vacation Bible School.
