In recognition of the Memorial Day holiday, the City of Fort Dodge’s garbage routes will be adjusted as follows:

St. Edmond Catholic Schools will hold a retirement open house for four members of the faculty on Wednesday.
The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the St. Edmond library with Rhonda Guldenpfennig, Adolph Kochendorfer, Michelle Rogers and Kim Stuhrenberg being honored.
A plan to convert a long stretch of North 15th Street into a three lane road will be the subject of a public information meeting Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S.
The proposed project would include 15th Street between First Avenue North and 20th Avenue North. That section is now a four-lane road, with two lanes of traffic going in each direction.

SAC CITY — An investigation is underway in Sac County following a May 4 shooting.
According to Chief Deputy Katie Stange, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office and Sac County Emergency Medical Service were dispatched to the area of U.S. Highway 71 and 330th Street on May 4 at 6:22 a.m. Once on scene, they discovered an injured subject with a gunshot wound.
One individual has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
According to Stange, the investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released at a later date.
