The Blanden Memorial Art Museum presents “Walking In Traffic,” a solo exhibition by textile artist Debra Smith, which is on view through Jan. 24, 2026. “Walking In Traffic” is described as a meditation on movement, hesitation, trust, chaos and flow. KYL announces Thanksgiving holiday closure

WEBSTER CITY – Kendall Young Library, Webster City, will close at 3 p.m. on Nov. 26 and remained closed through the weekend. The library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Dec. 1.

Jazz concert is Friday

The 515 Big Band will host a jazz concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the Historic Phillips Auditorium, 1015 Fifth Ave. N. The 515 Big Band is comprised of jazz musicians from around Iowa, with many headquartered in the Fort Dodge area. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $15. Admission for students is free. Drinks will be available to purchase at the concert.

FDPL adult board game night is Monday

The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding board games for adults from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in the large meeting room. There will be a wide varietty of both classic and new board and card games, but those attending are welcome to bring their own game also. With plenty of games to choose from (and tables for multiple games at once), there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy. The game nights will be held the third Monday of every month.
