Fort Dodge Area Symphony concert is Sunday

The Fort Dodge Area Symphony will have its final concert of the 2025-2026 season Sunday. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. in the Fort Dodge Middle School auditorium, 800 N. 32nd St. Titled “Beyond the Horizon,” it will feature the symphony’s Young Artist Competition winners. They are Qimen Michael Li on violin, Carson Menke on marimba and Jonathan Stoker on piano. Several “No Kings” events planned to protest President Donald Trump will be held in the area on Saturday. Meth deals send FD man to prison

A Fort Dodge man is heading to federal prison for 12 years on drug charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa reported. Marcus Hill, 33, had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine near a protected location, federal prosecutors reported. According to the Attorney’s Office, Hill admitted to distributing methamphetamine between 2018 and March 2025. Garden Club to meet Tuesday

The Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club meeting is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. The program will be lead by Rita Milberger. The purpose of the Endowed Benevolence Program is to extend and enrich the kingdom of God by witnessing in word and deed to people in need both directly and through organized efforts or organizations, especially those not having their own planned giving programs. One hurt in motorcycle crash

LEHIGH — One man was hurt when his motorcycle crashed on a rural road in southern Webster County Monday night. The crash happened at 8:05 p.m. on 290th Street near Brushy Creek Road. Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener said Bradley Alexander, of Fort Dodge, was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he went around a curve and lost control.
