Kendall Young Library announces summer reading program

WEBSTER CITY — Kendall Young Library Patrons are invited to participate in our Summer Library Program, “Plant a Seed, Read.” This summer program has events, contest, and activities that are geared for each age group: children, teens, and adults. A variety of special speakers, crafts, and fun family events are planned for both at the library and throughout Webster City. Stop in beginning Monday to get started on the many things the library has to offer.

Decoration rules for city cemeteries announced

Grave site decorations will be permitted in the Fort Dodge city-owned cemeteries three days prior to Memorial Day, according to an announcement from the Public Areas Department. Decorations will be removed and disposed of seven days after Memorial Day. The three cemeteries are Oakland Cemetery on North 15th Street, North Lawn Cemetery on North 15th Street, and Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery at Fifth Avenue South and 32nd Street. Frontier Days Volunteer Meeting is Sunday

There will be a Frontier Days volunteer meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Opera House at the Fort Museum and Frontier Village, 1 Museum Road. Whether you can help at the gates, with activities, setup, cleanup, information, hospitality, or wherever needed, we would love to have you involved. Frontier Days will be held on June 5-7 at the Fort. Please bring a smartphone with you to the meeting so we can help everyone get connected, signed up, and ready for Frontier Days. ‘Matilda Jr.’ auditions are Sunday and Monday

Stage Door Productions will hold auditions for “Matilda Jr.” at 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday at 127 N. 10th St. An online audition packet is available at https://share.google/GJvY5VWmgkihmBuBB. Read the audition materials and fill out the audition form. Inclulde your summer schedule (vacation, camp, etc.) so we can plan rehearsals smoothly.
