Fort Dodge Fireworks Celebration is July 3

Fireworks will fill the night sky in Fort Dodge following a rock concert at Fort Frenzy for the fifth annual Fort Dodge Fireworks Celebration on July 3.

The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. The event is free. Fort Dodge Fireworks Celebration and Fort Frenzy is hosting.

About $20,000 in fireworks will explode throughout the night.

“It’s a pretty big show, said Todd McCubbin, who’s organizing the festivities.

S.F.O, a Journey and Kansas tribute band will perform on the north field.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the gates. It’s recommended to bring a lawn chair for the show.

McCubbin said it’s a joy to be able have this type of entertainment in the community.

“No matter where you park, it’s a cool time,” he said. “I am just glad we get to do it. It’s a cool thing for the community.”

Parking and shuttle bus information has not yet been announced. The shuttle service will be free.

Parking on the streets or in the parking lots of east side businesses that are not participating in the shuttle service is discouraged.

The Fort Dodge Community Foundation is accepting donations on behalf of Fort Dodge Fireworks Celebration.
