Stage Door, WCCT, Old Creamery Theatre to offer Camp Creamery

Stage Door Productions and Webster City Community Theatre are each teaming up with The Old Creamery Theatre to bring Camp Creamery back this summer.

Stage Door Productions is hosting its second annual Camp Creamery Theatre camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 25 through 29 at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St. The performances will be at 7 p.m. June 29 and 2 p.m. June 30. Registration forms can be found at and the registration deadline is June 1.

The camp, “Little Red Meets the Wolves,” is designed to give children ages 7 and up the unique opportunity to work and perform with three professional actors from The Old Creamery Theatre while they rehearse and present a musical. All props, costumes and set pieces are provided by the Old Creamery Theatre, of Garrison.

At Webster City Community Theatre, the workshop is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 4.

The campers will meet Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to audition, rehearse their lines, songs and dances, and then perform the musical. This year’s play is also “Little Red Meets the Wolves.” It will be performed on Aug. 3 and 4.

Camp Creamery is open to students who are at least 7 years old at camp time through those entering eighth grade this fall.

Registration with Stage Door Productions is first-come, first-served and everyone who signs up will be cast. Cost is $50 per child.

Registration with Webster City Community Theatre is now open. The nonrefundable camp fee is $50. A limited number of scholarships are available.

There will be a maximum of 40 campers in Webster City.

Participants must be committed to attend each day of camp and each performance.

Registration forms are available online at and at the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce office.
