Three Pocahontas Area baseball were among those named to the all-Twin Lakes Conference first-team, the league announced recently.

Blake Bunda, Karson Welander and Carson Bunda were all selected, as the Indians finished second to Emmetsburg in the conference race this past summer. PAC was 21-4 overall.

The E-Hawks placed four on the top squad in Cooper Chizek, Aidyn Fehr-Opheim, MJ Bay and Bronson Dietrich. Briar Rowley was tabbed the coach of the year.

South Central Calhoun’s Andrew Anderson and Caleb Juhl made the squad, as did Newell-Fonda’s Max Carlson, Mason Hoberman and Andrew Greenfield.

Southeast Valley’s Karson Roper, Tyler Jondle and Logan Jaeschke each made the second team, as did Manson Northwest Webster’s Dawson Marine.

Dietrich was second in TLC games in hits and RBI. Carson Bunda finished third in RBI.

Greenfield tied for fourth in hits, while Blake Bunda and Bay tied for second in runs scored.

Blake Bunda, just a freshman, went 3-0 on the mound in TLC games, striking out 36 over 24 innings. Carlson won three games as well, and Chizek had a 4-0 record with 42 strikeouts.

Marine led the conference with 17 steals in 10 contests, while also picking up 40 strikeouts on the mound, which ranked third.
