Algona claims Humboldt indoor title

HUMBOLDT — The Algona boys picked up the team title Friday at the Nielsen Family Invitational.

The Bulldogs scored 116.5 points to finish ahead of Webster City and Humboldt. Manson Northwest Webster was fourth followed by Pocahontas Area, Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, Belmond-Klemme and Eagle Grove.

Webster City had four individual champions, as CJ Hisler won the 60, brother Keegan Hisler the high jump, Jaxon Cherry the 200 and JJ Moore the shot put.

Pocahontas Area’s Jacob Gerdes was first in the 400, Ben Berte first in the 800 and the Indians captured the 4×800 relay.

Algona was paced by Ryan Stundahl, as he won the 1,600, along with the 4×200 relay. Manson Northwest Webster was first in the shuttle hurdle relay.
