Gael girls earn three middle school NCC golds

The St. Edmond girls middle school track and field team completed their season Friday night at the North Central Conference Meet.

Elie Knox, Josie Harvey and the 4×200 relay all scored first-place finishes for the Gaels.

Knox won the high jump, clearing 4-foot-8, and was third in the 200 (28.97). Harvey won the 200 hurdles (32.91) while the relay consisted of Lauren Gibb, Harvey, Gracie Rial and Knox (2:02.8).

Anna Lursen and Faith Shirbroun were individual winners in the seventh grade division, along with the 4×100 relay.

Lursen won the long jump (13-5) and was runner-up in both the 400 (66.3) and 100 hurdles (18.4) with Shirbroun winning the 200 (29.99) along with second in the long jump (12-2) and third in the 100 (14.3).

Ava Andrew was third in the discus (64-1).

The 4×100 relay consisted of Shirbroun, Delaney Strang, Maggie Flaherty and Lursen, as they went 57.6.

The 4×400 relay of Sophia Dutcher, Ellie Alstott, Addisyn Schmitz and Flaherty placed third (5:15.5) with the 4×200 of Flaherty, Dutcher, Brianna Saathoff and Trinity Haviland finishing fourth (2:14.2).
