Sievers scores four TDs for N-F

NEWELL — Ninth-ranked Newell-Fonda cruised to a 54-6 victory over West Bend-Mallard in eight-man playoff action on Friday night.

The Mustangs (7-1) scored eight touchdowns on the night in their second victory over the Wolverines (1-7) this season.

Quarterback Gabe Sievers accounted for four touchdown passes on the night. Sievers hooked up with Trey Jungers from 21 yards and later found Ryan Greenfield from 43 yards out.

Sievers had two big scoring runs in the second half from 42 and 41 yards out.

Jungers had a special teams score, returning a punt 53 yards to paydirt.

Hunter Christansen visited the end zone twice, rushing in from 10 and five yards out. Mason Dicks added a two-yard plunge.

Joe Mader’s eight-yard touchdown run was the only score for the Wolverines.

Sievers finished the night with 92 yards rushing and was 5-for-6 passing for 120 yards. Jake DeMey caught two balls for 45 yards.

Christansen led the Mustang defense with 11 tackles. Greenfield had eight and Jaron Vanderhoff had five.
