Dodgers sweep Dowling
WEST DES MOINES — The Fort Dodge bowling teams got back on track with a sweep of West Des Moines Dowling on Tuesday.
The Dodger boys won, 2801-2593. The girls also prevailed by a final of 2336-1709.
Kaleb Anderson paced the boys with a 237-247–484. Leah Sanck’s 202-170–372 led the girls.
“It was good to be on the positive side of things again,” FDSH head coach Nick Vinson said. “We really didn’t bowl that well overall, but we needed (a victory) to get some momentum and confidence back on our side.
“There are still some things we need to get fixed and cleaned up, and we’re not completely healthy yet. But it’s good to see positive results after having a lot of meets where we performed better than this but came up short.”
The Dodger JV boys squad won, 2548-1968. Tayzon Preston (183-203–386) had the high FDSH series.
The FDSH JV girls team came up short, 1478-1369. Ashleigh Starnes (93-142–235) led the way.
The Dodgers return to action on Thursday at home against Marshalltown.
