Tritons take care of Fort Scott

FORT SCOTT, Kan. –The Iowa Central football team got back into the win column with a 53-31 win over Fort Scott on Saturday in Kansas.

The Tritons (6-5 overall) have won three of their last four games and were coming off a loss to Independence before the win over the Greyhounds (4-5).

Quarterback DJ Irons accounted for three touchdowns, throwing two and running for one. Irons connected with Tanarious Achan from 30 yards and Rashad Witty on a 45-yard strike.

Irons also had an 18-yard touchdown jaunt.

Back up quarterback Arthur Brantley came in and threw touchdowns. He hooked up with Achan and also J.M. Young from 12 yards out.

Jadon Washington added a 35-yard touchdown run and Grant Walker scored from one yard out.

Elijah Freking returned a fumble 30 yards for a score.

The Tritons will finish the season next Saturday inside Dodger Stadium. The Tritons will host Hutchinson at noon.
