Dodgers host Joselyn Memorial

Isaac Hage and Gavin Strain both turned in solid performances for the Fort Dodge boys golf squad during Tuesday’s Marion and Phil Joselyn Memorial Invitational at the Fort Dodge Country Club.

Hage fired an 83 and Strain finished with an 85 for the Dodgers, who were 13th in the final team standings. Waukee (302) was meet champion, followed by Ames (309). Ankeny Centennial and Ankeny tied for third at 317.

Hage worked his way around two triple bogeys with eight pars and birdies at holes 6 and 9. He carded a 38 on the front nine and a 45 on the back.

Strain went 45-40, recording six pars.

Nolan Daniel (95) and Andrew Alstott (98) had the other counting scores for FDSH.

Waukee’s Jack Starr turned in a three-under par 68 for individual medalist honors. Starr logged four birdies and only a single bogey.

Jackson Thompson of Sioux City Heelan (70) was second.

The Dodgers return to action on Tuesday at Marshalltown.
