The 2018 Fort Dodge Senior High wrestling reunion will be this Saturday at the former Izaak Walton cabin, located at 731 Exposition Drive.

All current and former Dodger wrestlers, as well as fans of the program, are welcome. There will be a potluck at noon, and the doors will stay open until 5 p.m.

A number of ex-FDSH coaches will be in attendance, as well as current head coach Bobby Thompson.

“We will have as many current Dodgers there as possible,” Thompson said. “It’s a busy time of year, with this being the last stretch of summer wrestling, so hopefully we can get as many guys there as possible.”

There will also be some Dodger memorabilia for sale.

“I will have some Fred Cooper prints available for purchase,” Thompson said. “It will be a print from the 1927 championship season. They will be available for $100.”

The Dodgers’ 2018 dual and traditional state championships will be celebrated. Fort Dodge won its first dual crown ever, and ended a 33-year title drought on the traditional side.

Special commemorative Messenger state champion Dodger wrestling magazines will also be available for purchase, with proceeds going to support the FDSH program.
