WEBSTER CITY — The Webster City baseball team used another dominating pitching performance to score a 10-0 victory over St. Edmond here Monday night.

Dylan Steen tossed a one-hitter for the Lynx (9-1 overall, 5-0 in NCC), striking out 11. Steen struck out the final seven batters he faced and walked just three.

“They’re very solid,” said St. Edmond head coach Mike Szalat. “(Steen) has a good curveball and is a strong pitcher.

“There are certain pitches we just have to make more adjustments to.”

Steen also added a two-RBI single in the fifth. Caleb Olson drove in three runs for Webster City, and Noah McKinney had two hits.

“There are some things that we need to work on as a team,” Szalat said. “Jack has good stuff, but we need to work with him to help him develop better. That falls on me.”

Noah Carlson had the lone hit for the Gaels, who return to action on Tuesday at North Union.
