CLEAR LAKE — The St. Edmond wrestling team dropped a pair of North Central Conference duals with Clear Lake and Clarion-Goldfield/Dows here Thursday night.

The final score vs. the Lions was 78-0, with the Cowboys winning 75-5.

“We were able to get kids matches and I am very thankful for both coaching staffs helping us make that happen,” SEHS head coach Mike Szalat said. “We had kids to the distance and some good matches with Jake and Ryan.

“It’s little things that we are doing better that will continue to make us better as we move forward.”

Against Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, Kim earned a forfeit victory.

Szalat was pinned by Kain Nelson, Duckett lost a decision to Tyler Stein and Carlson was pinned by Conner Johnson.

The Gaels return to action this Saturday when they compete in the Emmetsburg Invitational.
