The Gaels (14-11 overall, 2-3 in North Central Conference) have won two of their last three in the league.

As a team, St. Edmond had nine aces. Five of six servers did not miss an attempt in the match.

“We have been working on our mental toughness and focus when it comes to serving,” SEHS head coach Dee Huss said. “Our serving was the difference in the second set. The girls all looked so confident.”

Hannah Schaeffer had five kills and Devyn Scott four, with Schaeffer, Flattery and Scott all recording three blocks.

St. Edmond hosts Manson Northwest Webster and Hampton-Dumont next week.

“We have been talking about how we need to work on our intensity and focus when we travel,” Huss said. “We had a great crowd and the student section has just been outstanding all year. It was a really fun road victory for Homecoming week.”

The Lynx won both the junior varsity (19-21, 21-10, 15-4) and freshman (21-15, 16-21, 17-15) matches.
