Larsen runs for four TDs

MANSON — The Manson Northwest Webster football team won their second consecutive game with a 36-7 victory over West Central Valley on Friday night.

Blake Larsen had a big night in the end zone for the Cougars (3-2 overall, 1-1 in district). Larsen ran for four touchdowns, on one, two, two and six yards.

Mark Condon also had an eight yard touchdown run.

Condon was the leading rusher with 94 yards on 18 carries. Larsen had 91 on 19 carries and Reid Steinberg had 92 yards on 10 carries.

Derek Girard threw for 104 yards on 6 of 10 passing.

Dawson Estergaard had two catches for 54 yards.

Williams passes 1,000 yards

WEBSTER CITY — Sixth-ranked Webster City won their 11th straight regular season game behind another strong running effort.

The Lynx (5-0 overall, 3-0 in district) rushed for 315 yards in a 37-27 victory over Ballard (1-4, 1-2) on Friday night.

Zane Williams passed 1,000-yards for the season in the first half. Williams finished with 177 yards on 36 carries and four touchdowns. He had three one yard touchdown runs and 13-yard score.

Dylan Steen had a 27 yard touchdown run for the Lynx who have won 24 of their last 25 regular season games.

Steen rushed for 103 yards on 19 carries.

Ballard quarterback Isaac Schafbuch threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns.

Titans crush Clarinda

CLARINDA — The ninth-ranked South Central Calhoun football team cruised to a 35-7 victory over Clarinda on Friday night.

Chase McAlister had another big night on offense and defense for the Titans (4-1 overall, 3-0 in district).

McAlister caught 43 and 36 yard scoring strikes from Hunter Muhlbauer.

McAlister also returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown.

Muhlbauer had a 24-yard scoring jaunt.

Tanner Macke added a 45-yard touchdown run.

Muhlbauer finished the night 3-for-6 passing for 108 yards. McAlister had two catches for 79 yards.

Bacha, BG rolls at home

ALGONA — Fourth-ranked Bishop Garrigan stayed unbeaten on the year, defeating MMCRU 42-7 on Friday night.

The Golden Bears (5-0 overall, 3-0 in district) rushed for 320 yards.

Drew Bacha led Bishop Garrigan with 234 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns scores. Bacha scored from 57 yards and 81 yards. He also returned a punt 40 yards to the end zone.

Brad Capesius threw a 21-yard touchdown to T.J. Schnurr.

Sam Vaske added a one-yard touchdown run.

Zack Muller had 11 tackles and Vaske had nine.

Jaguars fall to Raiders in OT

BURNSIDE — The Southeast Valley football team dropped a 34-27 decision to East Sac County on Friday night.

The Raiders (3-2 overall, 3-0 in district) missed a field goal with under a minute in regulation as the game went to overtime.

Garret Bruce scored for the Raiders on their first possession in overtime. East Sac County stopped Southeast Valley (1-4, 1-2) quarterback Hunter Kruse on the one-yard line to end the contest.

Hunter Kruse threw a 39 and five yard touchdown pass to Chase Swieter.

Nyles Johnson had a 15-yard touchdown run and Kyler Fisher had a 36-yard scoring jaunt.

Fisher finished the contest with 161 yards on 21 carries. Johnson had 61 yards on seven carries.

Newell-Fonda falls in ranked tilt

FONDA — In a battle of Top-5 teams, it was No. 2 Remsen St. Mary’s who came out on top against No. 4 Newell-Fonda on Friday night.

The Mustangs (4-1 overall, 2-1 in district) lost to the Hawks (5-0, 3-0) 51-26.

Jesse Haack rushed for touchdowns of 12 and three yards. He finished the night with 24 carries for 69 yards.

Bryce Coppock threw an eight-yard scoring strike to Austin Gerdes.

R.J. Rojas kicked a 26-yard field goal and the Mustangs had a safety.

Coppock finished the night 9-for-18 for 139 yards.

Eagles lose to No. 2 Van Meter

EAGLE GROVE — The Eagle Grove football team had a tough night against second-ranked Van Meter on Friday night.

Van Meter (5-0 overall, 3-0 in district) picked up a 37-0 over the Eagles (3-2, 1-2).

Van Meter had 472 yards of total offense.
