Gaels lose at Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE — The St. Edmond softball team lost a 10-5 decision to Clear Lake on Friday night.

The Gaels (9-17 overall) dropped their fourt straight decision.

Senior Megan Flattery went 3-for-4 with a double. Erin Flattery had two hits, including a double.

Audrey Kolacia, Macey Mason, Jocy Timmerman and Kacey Kruthoff head two hits each.

The Gaels broke out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, but the Lions put up nine runs in their half of the first.

“After the first inning, we played well,” said St. Edmond head coach Nick Clark. “They are a good team and they drove the ball.

“I’m proud of the way they played.”

The Gaels are back in action on Monday when they host Coon Rapids-Bayard in a Class 1A regional opener at Rogers Park. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
