Fuhs earns title at Briggs Woods
WEBSTER CITY — Current DMACC golfer and former Webster City High School standout Alec Fuhs captured the Briggs Woods Amateur men’s golf tournament with a two-hole playoff victory over Matt Ross here on Sunday.
Fuhs and Ross both shot three-under par 105 for the 27-hole event. Ross, also a Webster City graduate, had the low championship nine round with a 35.
Connor Shannon and Gary Larson, both of Webster City, tied for third at 107. Larson led heading into the championship nine after a four-under par 68 in regulation play.
