HAMPTON — The St. Edmond boys won their sixth straight in convincing fashion here Thursday night, blitzing Hampton-Dumont, 61-20.

Charlie Doyle and Andrew Gibb each scored 15 for the Gaels (10-5 overall, 8-2 in North Central Conference), who reached the 10-win mark for another season.

“We were patient and did a good job of reversing the ball and finding the open man,” SEHS head coach Adolph Kochendorfer said. “We got a lot of our looks off ball reversal and our inside-out game, which we have really done well over these last six games.”

Will Woodruff added nine points, 20 rebounds and four assists, while Doyle also dished out four assists. Jake Heidenreich grabbed seven rebounds.

Sean Newell added seven points off the bench.

“We got some quality minutes from our bench,” Kochendorfer said. “This was the first of three straight games in three days, which is something I don’t think we’ve ever done.”

The Gaels travel to Iowa Falls-Alden Friday night before hosting No. 2 (Class 2A) Carroll Kuemper on Saturday.
