Holly Ekstrom, who is accused of killing Steven Fisher in July 2013, is expected to have her new trial date scheduled next week.
A trial-scheduling conference for Ekstrom, 23, of Fort Dodge, was held Friday morning.
As of Friday afternoon, no trial date had been announced. Attorneys were not expecting to have a date until Monday, according to Geoff Greenwood, spokesman for the Iowa attorney general's office, which is assisting in Ekstrom's prosecution.
Ekstrom and Ronald J. Dilley, 29, of Fort Dodge, are each facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the July 2013 death of Steven Fisher, 22, of Fort Dodge.
Both had previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, but on Thursday a change of plea hearing was scheduled on Dilley's behalf for April 4.
Ekstrom and Dilley are each being held in the Webster County Jail on $500,000 bond.
