The LESS is MORE wellness series kicks-off at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven with the focus on social wellness with Sounds of the Season.
This free educational series is open to anyone wishing to learn more about healthy aging.
Social wellness is only one of the six dimensions of health - the others being physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and vocational. The LESS is MORE series is intended to explore each dimension in depth and to help people understand what healthy aging encompasses.
Back by popular demand, the Sounds of the Season concert will kick off the holidays with St. Edmond High School choir performing seasonal favorites.
All LESS is MORE programs are free of charge to any senior, and no reservations are required. The series is a cooperative endeavor among Elderbridge Agency on Aging, Friendship Haven, Iowa Central, Trinity Healthy Living at Unity Point, ISU Extension Service and Foster Grandparent Program of Fort Dodge. For more information, people can contact any of the co-sponsors.
