Fort Dodge Senior High has been nominated for a "Together For Safer Schools" grant from Stanley Security and could win up to $200,000 in installed security products and services to help secure its students and facility. The funds are awarded to the schools that receive the most votes between Tuesday and Dec. 13.

School administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and community members can vote daily for the chance to win. The school with the most votes at the close of the contest will win the grand prize of $200,000 in Stanley Security installed products and services. Three runners-up will win individual prizes of $100,000 in products and services. Each vote also counts as an entry for FDSH to win a daily prize. "Safety is a top priority for our district," said Doug Van Zyl, superintendent of schools. "This is an opportunity for the community to help us continue to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all Senior High students. We hope the community will get behind this effort and everyone will vote daily."

Individuals can vote once per day at stanleysaferschools.com. Voting is tracked by email address. Individuals with more than one email address can use each address to vote daily. In addition, people can vote daily by texting "Fort Dodge Senior High" to 99222.
