FD?Area Symphony sells memberships

The Fort Dodge Area Symphony is conducting its 2013-2014 season membership drive. Season tickets are available giving adults and families a savings for the season. Family memberships for the season are $60, adults are $35. Tickets at the door are $10 adult and $6 student.

There are also categories available for those wishing to use their donations for tax deductions. Check the symphony web site, fdsymphony.org, for more information.

All concerts will be held at 3 p.m. on Sundays. The opening concert will be Oct. 20 at St. Edmond High School Auditorium. The other three will be held at the new Fort Dodge Middle School Auditorium.

Joshua Barlage is the new conductor for this season.

The opening concert features orchestral showstoppers from the opera repertoire. The Dec. 8 concert will be a holiday festival; joining the orchestra for this program will be Max Wellman who will perform holiday classics.

The March 2 concert will feature James Bovinette, trumpet soloist, performing classical and jazz solos. The final concert on April 27 will be the annual Young Artists Concert.
