Messenger News

LifeServe Blood Center will host the "Making a Difference Blood Drive" from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Mall, 217 S. 25th St. No appointments are necessary for this blood drive and all registered donors will receive a free T-shirt.

Eligible donors must be at least 16 years old (16- and 17-year-old donors must have a signed parental consent form) and must weigh at least 120 pounds. Donors should be in good general health and should eat a good meal prior to donating. For more information about donor eligibility, visit www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or call (800) 287-4903.

Blood donations are especially important going into the summer months as donations tend to decrease. Just one unit of blood can help save the lives of up to three different hospital patients in our community.
