SIOUX CITY - The Fort Dodge girls tennis team squared off against Sioux City North and Sioux City West in a triangular on Monday.

Following a 7-2 setback to the Stars, the Dodgers (6-5 overall) rebounded with a 9-0 shutout over the Wolverines.

Ayenna Cagaanan paced FDSH with a pair of singles victories, while Kari Grindberg, Emily Knight, McKellen Glassell, Allison Birnbaum and Erika Farr all added one win.

In doubles, Grindberg and Knight each prevailed twice. Cagaanan and Glassell and Birnbaum and Farr combined for the other Dodger triumphs.

"Ayenna played consistent against both North and West," said Fort Dodge head coach Karine Feddersen. "We have to face (the Stars and Wolverines) again in individual regionals, so it was kind of nice to see what they were playing with."

The Dodgers return to action today at Johnston. Class 2A individual regionals are set for Thursday in Fort Dodge.
