St. Edmond students raise funds for Backpack Buddy Program

St. Edmond Catholic School recently presented the Backpack Buddy Program with a check for $1,105.88. The funds were collected throughout the school system, K-12. A dress down day fundraiser and offerings at Mass were allocated for the organization. Also offered up were 94 prayers by kindergarten through fifth-grade students for a variety of intentions for the program including prayers for the hungry and for the success of the program. Student body Treasurer Tommy Setterdahl, left, presented the check to Terry Moenke, program organizer for the Fort Dodge Noon Sertoma Club. Also pictured are high school Principal John Howard, in back, and senior class Vice President Jasmine Myers.
