Herzberg leads MNW past the Raiders

SAC CITY - The 15th-ranked (Class 2A) Manson Northwest Webster girls scored a 50-46 victory over East Sac County Tuesday night.

Ellie Herzberg scored a team-high 24 to lead the Cougars (3-1 overall), while Faith Troshynski added 14. Jocelyn Keller finished with 10.

Manson NW has won three in a row since a season-opening loss to third-ranked (3A) Estherville-LC.

Dakota Blum led the Raiders with 25 points.

BURNSIDE - The Southeast Webster-Grand girls earned a 47-41 victory over Pocahontas Area Tuesday night.

The Eagles (2-1 overall) outscored the Indians, 18-2 in the fourth quarter.

Anna Coder led SW-Grand with 10 points, while Tracy Oeltjenbruns had nine points and 11 rebounds.

Nicole Roetman led the Indians with eight.

Nicole Behr had 14 points to lead the Golden Bears (3-2 overall, 3-1 in NCC).

EAGLE GROVE - The Eagle Grove girls suffered a 46-21 North Central Conference setback to Iowa Falls-Alden Tuesday night.

Beth Mork tallied nine points for the Eagles (1-4 overall, 1-3 NCC).
