To the editor:
On Nov. 10, Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa Inc. hosted its very first omelet breakfast fundraiser where Santa paid a visit for photos. YSC would like to thank the community for coming together and supporting our mission of "Development of healthier youth and families through diversity of services." YSC would like to recognize the following businesses who generously gave towards the success of our first omelet breakfast: Sparboe Farms, Hy-Vee Food Store, Fareway, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Amigos, Dean Foods, Tom Thumb Drive Inn, Blue Ribbon Pelham Waters, and McGregors. YSC also would like to thank all the volunteers that helped make this event possible: Iowa Central Culinary School, Cargill, AMP (Achieving Maximum Potential), Kohl's, Cub Scout Pack 10, Iowa Central Baseball Players, and the Youth Shelter staff and board members. Through their spirit of giving, the businesses donations, and the general public attendance allows YSC to continue providing skill building counseling, mental health assistance, and emergency shelter services to youth and their families.
