Tom Price, a Fort Dodge attorney and 1963 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, has received the 2012 Alumni Service Award from the UI College of Law.

Price received an undergraduate degree from Iowa State Teacher's College (now the University of Northern Iowa) in 1960. He then worked for the Iowa Attorney General's office, where he had previously clerked. In 1964, he returned to Fort Dodge as a general law practitioner, eventually developing an emphasis in family law.

He joined the Iowa State Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project in 1983, shortly after it was created. He has received the Iowa State Bar Association Pro Bono award and has been formally recognized for his pro bono work by the Iowa Supreme Court.

He also taught criminal law for 30 years at Iowa Central Community College.

He is married to Sandra Price, a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Nursing and School of Social Work. They have been married for 51 years and have four children.
