Community Health Center of Fort Dodge seeks support on Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday 2021, a global campaign to inspire collective generosity to nonprofits, is Tuesday.
Last year, even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, this one-day donation and volunteerism drive raised $2.47 billion for nonprofits in the United States alone, a 25 percent increase from 2019.
Charitable organizations, like Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, exist to help close a gap to community needs. They are most impactful in fulfilling those unmet needs when caring neighbors leverage their efforts through philanthropic giving that helps sustain their core missional work.
At the heart of Community Health Center’s mission is a desire to accommodate patients’ unique needs by helping them overcome obstacles to high quality health care.
Most importantly, we strive to make health care affordable, accessible and adequate for all. We accept most insurance and have a sliding pay scale for those who qualify.
Our team strives to provide high quality medical, dental and behavioral health services not only for those who have insurance available, but also those that are uninsured and have limited financial means.
We provide services and care to people of all ages. Some examples of our services include:
• Chronic disease management.
• Annual exams.
• Oral health screenings.
• Mental wellness screening/management.
• Acute care.
• Well child checks.
• Sports, work and Department of Transportation physicals.
• COVID-19 testing and vaccination.
In addition to our comprehensive health care services, we provide annual outreach services such as coat and sock drives, back-to-school block parties, and other collaborative efforts with our community partners to better support the whole person health care needs of our local residents.
Our caring staff is committed to our patients’ well-being and getting them to feeling like themselves again. This can only be done with the help of a loving north Iowa community.
So that we can continue to provide life-changing services such as these, Community Health Center of Fort Dodge is asking for your support now more than ever on this Giving Tuesday.
For your consideration, please note that a $100 donation will provide five medical or behavioral health visits for patients on a sliding fee scale.
A $500 gift can give someone their smile back by covering the cost of dentures for one patient.
Tax deductible gifts made through www.mygiving.net/campaign/CHC-GIVE on Tuesday will help our north Iowa neighbors achieve equitable access to better health, especially the underserved populations that need them most.
