Fun Night succeeds

To the editor:

Duncombe Elementary Booster Club’s annual Fun Night event, held April 2, was once again a great success and an opportunity for Duncombe families and the community to come together, have fun, and support the youth of Fort Dodge. On behalf of the Duncombe Elementary Boosters I would like to thank all of the parents, teachers, FDHS cheerleaders and staff of Fort Frenzy who volunteered to work at our event. As well as all the members of the community who supported our school by purchasing raffle tickets and attending the event.

Each year, the profits from Fun Night are used to support the school in a variety of ways, including technology purchases, field trips, classroom projects, and annual scholarships for graduates who attended Duncombe. However, all of this would not be possible without the generosity of our local businesses.

We would like to thank all the businesses who donated and made our event successful: Active Health & Chiropractic, Anytime Fitness, Becker Florists, Beisser Lumber, Blue Ribbon Pelham’s Water, Brown’s Shoe Fit, Buford’s, Central Perk & Dessert, Cheesecake Lady, CSBank, Creative Cakes, Daniel Pharmacy, Family Video, Fort Dodge Ford Toyota, Fort Frenzy, Hawkeye Community Theatre, Holiday Inn Express, Homespun Collections, Hy-Vee, Iowa Central, Ja-Mar Drive-In, Kemna Auto, Lefti’s Bar and Grill, Modern Day Florals, Nettie’s, P48 Boutique, Pancheros, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, Pingle Tyre, Pizza Hut, Riddle’s Jewelry, Shimkat Auto, Sports Page, The Messenger, Wendy’s and Willow Ridge.

We sincerely thank you for contributing to the education of our children and the future of our community.
