To the editor:

Sometimes two words don’t seem to be enough but they still need to be said. Thank you for all of your generous support for our seventh annual Legends Tailgate event Friday, Aug. 14. What an amazing evening.

One of the things I love most about this event is there is a great mix of several generations celebrating together. We also raise money for our Good Samaritan Fund. This fund is in place to continue to allow Friendship Haven to do the things we do.

What we do here is nothing short of incredible. The power of the Friendship Haven family stretches well beyond our campus. Many of you who were here celebrating with us Friday shared stories of how Friendship Haven has impacted your lives in a deeply personal way. Chances are if we haven’t touched your life yet, someday we will.

Fundraisers like the Tailgate allow not-for-profits like us to continue to carry out our mission. Without the generous support from community members like you this simply wouldn’t be possible.

Not to mention it’s a fun night Angie Tracy and our Tailgate committee do a wonderful job making sure the event and activities are always fresh and new. Hats off to them, our sponsors, our partners, our employees and our residents. We are so blessed. Thank you.
