National Night Out is Tuesday

Event is a chance to interact with public safety agency personnel

The Fort Dodge version National Night Out will be held Aug. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Snell-Crawford Park. The goal of this annual event is provide opportunities for the public to interact with the personnel from the public safety entities that help protect Fort Dodge and Webster County.

Multiple agencies, including the Fort Dodge Police Department, Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa State Patrol, Webster County attorney’s office, UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center and the Fort Dodge Fire Department, will be taking part in this very worthwhile gathering.

There will be an opportunity to learn about each participating agency or organization. Each will have booth. Personnel will be on hand to share information about the services they perform as well as the community partnership programs they offer.

National Night Out is more than just a learning experience. It’s an event crafted to be a great deal of fun as well as educational.

There will be an array of activities that will help personnel affiliated with the agencies get acquainted with members of the public. Additionally, there will be food served and ample entertainment, including a magic show. Young folks are especially encouraged to attend National Night Out. Many of aspects of this event have been designed with them in mind.

National Night Out is an outstanding way for members of the public meet and interact with the local public safety partners.
