MARTHA MAE HARGRAVE

She was born on a farm to Roy and Ruby Claude Randall on March 13, 1936. She was the oldest of 6 siblings. Surviving family members are brothers Melvin Randall, Gary and Phillis Randall and husband Ron Hargrave.

She was preceded in death by sister Barb Jean and brothers John and Gordon (Charlotte) Randall.

She went to a country school and then to Webster City where she graduated in 1954. She then attended Drake University and obtained a degree in education. She taught school at Duncombe, Stanhope and finally spending many years in Fort Dodge. She retired at age 62, spending many years raising flowers on the acreage where they lived for 55 years.

She was married almost 64 years to Ron Hargrave. To this union, they had a son, Scott Hargrave, a daughter Sheila (Chris) Hargrave Keane. Martha has three grandchildren — Brenton, Sean and Jessica.

She will be cremated with a memorial service to be held later this spring.
